Exploring the Museum GUIDED TOUR – 55 min.
Highly specialized guides make the experience accessible to students of all school levels and with different degrees of knowledge. A journey of gradual discovery: wood from precious trees, in the skilled hands of the luthier, becomes instruments with an unmistakable sound; the encounter with the violin takes place among kings and court musicians, while multimedia features turn visitors into protagonists of interactive activities. The Treasure Chest houses the precious instruments of the most important luthiers of the past, integrated into an extremely modern exhibition layout. Luminous walls tell the story of the spread of violin making worldwide, unusual perspectives showcase the contemporary instruments that won the International Triennial Competition, and Stradivarian artifacts reveal themselves as a unique heritage in the world. Guests of honor are the “friends of Stradivari” instruments, an international network that brings wonderful Cremonese instruments back to their city of origin. Special themed guided tours can be arranged upon request. Guided tours available in Italian, English, French, German, and Spanish.

The Sound of Stradivari AUDITION – 25 min.
Stradivari, Amati, Guarneri: the instruments from the historical collection resonate in the hands of young professionals within the magnificent setting of the Giovanni Arvedi Auditorium, a jewel of acoustics and a product of the culture of excellence. Sinuous lines chase each other, shaping a grand sculpture that expresses the propagation of sound waves. The stage is placed at the center, allowing the audience to fully share the musical moment with the artist. The auditions represent the crowning achievement of the visitors’ experience, with a duration that allows even the youngest guests to enjoy an exciting musical moment. The listening experience is guided by the musician, who introduces the pieces and highlights the acoustic features and techniques employed. -

The colors of sound – KINDERGARTEN
We play with interactive multimedia workstations, discovering the magic of sounds: each member of the string family has a special voice. Drawing and material components help us integrate different languages in a multisensory approach.Just like in the workshop – PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL
The workshop is the atelier where the luthier, like a fashion designer, gives life to their creation: the sound of the plane, the sharp strokes of a gouge, the slow work of the scraper. By trying small tools, we learn specific vocabulary, how the different parts of the instrument function, and discover ourselves as potential luthiers of tomorrow.State of the art – SECONDARY SCHOOL
So much art in a single instrument! How can we grasp the differences between the luthiers of the past? Through technical drawing, we will discover that the soundholes (f-holes) and the scroll reveal precious information… while the secrets of inlay work will lead us toward “Stradivari’s most precious violin.”
