Bottega _italiana

Educational Day

 Saturday, October 12 10,00 am

This exhibition of historic violin making offers a never-before-seen opportunity to trace back the main routes of exchange and the stylistic interpenetration between Italian violin makers who were geographically distant from each other. Together with members of the Scientific Committee, it will be possible to see how local dynamics allowed the development of entire generations of violin makers who reached great heights, while working within a context of relationships. Participants will be able to observe and compare precious antique instruments from the Chi Mei collection, discovering artisans who are lesser known but still important in the creation of those “schools” that for two centuries represented the principle wealth of Italian violin making. The lesson is open to violin makers and students from violin-making schools, and is free once an entrance ticket has been bought for the exhibition. Admission free, obbligatory seat booking info: www.museodelviolino.org – booking: scientific@museodelviolino.org
